Ask the chef about the standard and order the simmered and sashimi set meal. The simmered dish is fluffy and has the best seasoning. The miso soup will also soak in gently. I also ordered seaweed tempura. The alcohol goes on with quite a large volume. Salt is recommended over tempura, soup. It has a crisp and juicy taste.

If you want to experience the Izu Sea, we recommend seafood bowls and fried foods.
If you order “lunch” at noon, it won’t be on the menu.
A set plate of seafood bowl and fried food will be served! recommendation
“South Cafe”

A Hawaiian-style cafe with large portions and a relaxing atmosphere.
It is a popular place that is visited by more people than can fit in every day at lunchtime.

“Nabura” Creative cuisine bar

There are many kinds of dishes, not only seafood, but also meat dishes! Not only was the grilled golden sea bream, namerou, and grilled fish delicious, but the seared beef was also delicious. As for the sake🍶, the local Shimoda sake and the dry Shizuoka sake are delicious!
Cafe “Tsuboya”

Tsuboya-san is a coffee shop located right in front of Nabeta Beach, the closest beach to the city of Shimoda.
It’s not typical of Izu, but I personally like it. We carry a wide selection of cigars and cigarettes.
“Curry,” “Viennese coffee,” and “Resca is recommended.”

The dried fish is delicious, but the “salted fish” is especially delicious, so be sure to try it!

When no stores were open in the morning, I ended up going to a convenience store…
If that’s boring, try the chicken rice onigiri and dango here.
Since you’re a surfer and you’re hungry this morning, let’s eat it!

hot spring
Senninburo Kanaya Ryokan
https://maps.app.goo.gl/BVoPcU86UeJq11q3A
It is a clear simple spring and the temperature is slightly lukewarm, so you can stay in it for a long time. The large wooden bath has a great atmosphere at night and is connected to the open-air bath.
Showayu

A really old-fashioned public bath. There was a woman at the counter, and there were no soap, shampoo, or other supplies. When you enter the tiled bathroom, you’ll find rows of tiles on both sides, and there’s no shower. The bathtub is quite deep (you might sink up to your head if you put your buttocks on), and the water is about 41-42 degrees Celsius. It’s nice because it blends in with the old-fashioned Shimoda streetscape.
Osawa Onsen Makeup Yu
https://maps.app.goo.gl/gbpuhiEx7bu2tUaq5
Osawaso has been in business for 70 to 80 years, and it was built at a time when there weren’t many hot springs in the area.
The amount of hot water is abundant!! The hot spring water is poured from the bottom of the bathtub and the water is fresh.
Although the temperature is a bit hot, the atmosphere of the open-air bath is pleasant as the mountain surface is right in front of you.

Opened in 1992, there are two baths, one for men and one for men, and the retro wooden bathhouse is comfortable.
What’s more, the bathtub is large enough to accommodate 15 people, allowing you to stretch out to your heart’s content.
